Cablevision to buy Bresnan for $1.3 billion-source (Reuters)
Comcast owns 30% of Bresnan. Presumably, they could have bought the rest of the company, but with the NBC Universal deal it is obvious that Comcast is focusing on other priorities than buying additional cable systems right now.
