Quality Systems Reports Resignation of Its President and Chief Executive Officer Effective August 16, 2008 (BusinessWire)
Quality Systems' major division is NextGen Healthcare Information Systems of Horsham, which is a very substantial business.
Obviously, something is up with this resignation. A dissident director has been fighting the CEO for at least a couple of years. Don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Checkpoint Systems Acquires RFID Software Company OATSystems (RFID Journal)
More detailed information on acquisition announced yesterday. OATSystems is a real innovator in the RFID space. Its technology allows companies to collect and analyze more detailed information using RFID. The acquisition may also help Checkpoint to expand into vertical markets it hasn't traditionally been in. No word on the price, but I'm guessing it was at least $100 million.
