Philly Tech Events Calendar

ETC Names Finalists for Enterprise Awards

The Eastern Technology Council has named the finalists for its "Enterprise Awards" to be presented on December 3. There are 24 nominees in 8 categories covering technology and life sciences; as usual for Philly some of the technology nominees have a life sciences orientation and visa versa. In addition there are six nominees for "Company to Watch".
The December 3 awards ceremony is a "gala" event. I've never quite understood what gala means except that its usually pretty expensive.

An organization called the Greater Philadelphia High Tech Networking Group, which has a somewhat different emphasis than some of the other tech organizations in the area-more focused on electronics,engineering, and semiconductor stuff-has an interesting meeting planned for Monday, the 28th at Rutgers-Camden. The topic is "Top Technology Trends Impacting Business-to-Consumer Hardware Designs & Communications Services".
