Blame It On SAP ?

Yesterday I ran a piece on the State of California pulling the plug on a major SAP implementation after pouring $25 million into it.
Today there is a detailed article by the Marin Independent Journal about an entirely different SAP project in California (for San Marin County) that has cost $18.6 million so far and still has major kinks to work out. Officials seem to suggest that much of the blame in this case belongs with Deloitte. The article is worth reading as it goes into considerable depth and gives a detailed breakdown of project costs.
